This is the a general course for the CPOs.
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) set the guidelines and standards intended for official Close Protection training in the UK.
In March 2006 it became the law that you must have a license to work in Close Protection Operations. For you to obtain a license you must complete and pass a course that is compliant with the specifications as laid down by the SIA.
The Level 3 Award in Close Protection Operative has been developed to meet the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA). It is based on the relevant SIA Specifications for Learning and Qualifications and provide student with all the necessary and prescribed theoretical knowledge and practical skills to take to apply for permission.
This is the first step on the way if you want to become a Close Protection Officer in the UK. The course is 14 days in duration and is a combination of classroom and practical exercises. This training course covers the NEW 2015 specification.
The CPO Course includes the overall knowledge within ‘Business’ and ‘Dignitary’ areas of Close Protection, and it’s training program is based on the proven training methods.
The Course is approved by the different Awarding Bodies and allows graduates to apply for the SIA license from Security Industry Authority.
In shortly: this course provide the Close Protection qualification required for a Close Protection licence in the UK. However, in order to apply for SIA license, there is also a need to attend recognised First Aid Award.
This is a specialist career and those considering the training should understand that this profession requires a very diverse knowledge so if you want to realy work long time in the security industry you must constantly train yourself and necesary build up a gorgeous CPD record.

Celebrity protection, Victim and Witness Protection and VIP Protection in war zones, on terror areas, Diplomatic and Embassy Protection and in other Specialist Security areas and high risk zones.

ASSESSMENT:
This qualification is assessed by the following means:
- Multiple choice questions
- Externally set, internally marked and externally quality assured practical task.
Multiple choice questions are used to assess the learners underpinning knowledge.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 18 years of age and should have a fluent understanding of the English language.
- Clean criminal record.
COURSE DURATION
14 DAYS
CANDIDATE:
In order to maintain quality of instruction and ensure that candidates receive personal attention, our course intake is restricted to 10-12 students per program.
Minimum participants for any course: 8 students per program.
Due to the popularity of our seminars we recommend that students wishing to attend a course reserve a place as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
